The Retro Studio: Mushroom Collection

When I was a kid, there was nothing I wanted more than a cool notebook with a beautiful design on the front; or a sticker sheet with butterflies and birds, or a pencil case displaying my favorite characters. In fact, it’s one of the things that got me into drawing in the first place. It’s always been in the back of my mind that I’d want to see my artwork not only in books and on book covers, but also on stationery, T-shirts and tote-bags. So this year, I’m dedicating some time to create a few surface design collections that can be used in this way. Starting with some of my favorite subjects in nature, and hopefully expanding from there into other themes that inspire me to draw.
To start, I’ve hand drawn a collection of mushroom artwork that can be incorporated into patterns, motifs and larger designs. -I’ve payed attention to detail and accuracy so that each mushroom artwork can be clearly identified as a certain species. I hope you like them.
